Job summary

Goldfish Swim School in Needham, MA is seeking confident, dependable Swim Instructors who will teach life-saving water safety skills and create a fun, positive experience for families. Join a team with a proven curriculum for children aged 4 months to 12 years, and contribute to a safe learning environment while collaborating with fellow staff.

This part-time role offers pay of $17–$19 per hour, minimum 2 shifts weekly, paid training, lifeguard certification during employment, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.
• Swim instruction, lifeguard, structured childcare, or teaching experience preferred (1–3 years).
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred; training provided if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to children ages 4 months - 12 years using Goldfish's proven, play based curriculum.
• Create a safe and positive learning environment.
• Communicate clearly with families about swimmer's progress.
• Maintain pool safety.
• Be a supportive, professional teammate on and off the pool deck.

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $17 - $19 per hour

Hours Required: Minimum of 2 shifts/week (shift length ranging from 3-6 hrs/day)
