Job summary

Goldfish Swim School - Needham is seeking confident, dependable Swim Instructors to advance our mission of teaching water safety and making learning fun for families.

As a part-time instructor, you will teach lessons to children aged 4 months to 12 years using our play-based curriculum, maintain pool safety, and communicate progress to families. Paid training provided, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Strong communication and reliability are essential.
• Swim instruction, lifeguard, structured childcare, or teaching experience preferred (1–3 years).
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to children aged 4 months to 12 years using Goldfish's play-based curriculum.
• Create a safe and positive learning environment.
• Communicate clearly with families about swimmer's progress.
• Maintain pool safety.
• Be a supportive, professional teammate on and off the pool deck.

Goldfish Swim School is looking for confident, dependable Swim Instructors who will play a key part in advancing our mission to teach all children how to be safe in and around the water! In this role, you're not just teaching kids how to swim. You will make a real, life-changing impact by teaching life-saving water safety skills, all while creating a fun, positive experience for families!

Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $17 - $19 per hour
Hours Required: Minimum of 2 shifts/week (shift length ranging from 3-6 hrs/day)

What You'll Do

• Teach swim lessons to children ages 4 months -12 years old using Goldfish's proven, play based curriculum
• Create a safe and positive learning environment
• Communicate clearly with families about swimmer's progress
• Maintain pool safety
• Be a supportive, professional teammate on and off the pool deck

Requirements/Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Strong communication skills and reliability
• Swim instruction, lifeguard, structured childcare, or teaching experience preferred (1-3 years)
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred (training provided if not yet certified)

Training & Growth

• Lifeguard certification is required while employed
