Job summary

General Dynamics IT seeks a Systems Administrator to join our team on a customer-facing site in California. The role focuses on maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure, including desktops, servers, VoIP, and network devices.

You will troubleshoot incidents, manage configurations, and coordinate with service providers to ensure uptime and performance. Candidates should have 1+ years of related IT experience, hold a DoD IA certification (Security+ CE minimum), and be a US citizen.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience
• Understanding of desktop computers, thin clients, servers, VoIP phones, video conferencing, cabling standards, installation, systems administration, testing equipment, and ITIL best practices
• Must possess appropriate and current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment: CompTIA Security+ CE is the minimum certification
• US Citizenship Required: Yes

Responsibilities

• Maintain computers, voice, video, network, and server hardware used to support IT services
• Provide installation maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware
• Serve as a key contact for customers, communicating incident status, analysis, and solutions
• Perform Service Operations and support Service Transition activities for IT infrastructure (desktop, servers, network devices)
• Install, upgrade, repair, and support equipment; perform daily systems checks and data center walkthroughs
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, isolate, and resolve system service failures to meet timelines
