Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Systems Specialist to support, maintain, and improve IT systems and infrastructure across servers, applications, and networks. You’ll ensure servers, applications, and related technologies are secure, stable, and performing optimally.

You’ll collaborate with help desk staff, engineers, and business stakeholders to resolve issues, implement changes, and support ongoing projects, while upholding security and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• AA/AS required.
• 8+ years of experience required.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux server administration.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, group policies, and identity/access management.
• Experience with virtualization platforms and/or cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, manage, and maintain servers, operating systems, and key applications.
• Apply patches, updates, and configuration changes to systems per change management procedures.
• Perform routine system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Provide advanced technical support for escalated issues from help desk/Tier 1 teams.
• Install, configure, and deploy new systems, applications, and tools.
