Job summary

General Dynamics is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a TS/SCI cleared intelligence environment at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The role emphasizes Windows/Linux server administration, storage management, and on-site/off-site collaboration with users and guards against operational risk.

Responsibilities include system configuration, incident resolution, and routine maintenance within STIG security standards. On-call duties and travel up to 20% are required for contract coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
• Must have Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hire
• TS/SCI Clearance required and eligibility to obtain CI Poly
• Must be able to obtain System Administrator Accounts and access as required by customer within 90 days of hire
• RHEL, Windows, and/or Storage administration experience
• Experience working with trouble ticket reporting and tracking systems such as ServicePlus
• Ability to respond to after hour calls “provide on-call support” based upon contract requirements.
• Ability to travel 0-20% to local area sites as well as other locations with similar architecture/footprint.
• Strong documentation skills with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Strong customer support and communication skills for end users
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
• All work is conducted on customer site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks.
• Coordinate site visits and upgrades with on-site and remote users.
• Provide Tier 1/2/3 support for Windows and Windows/Linux servers and web servers.
• Install and configure PC hardware, server hardware, and network connections.
• Deploy OS and applications using PowerShell, PDQ, or MECM tooling.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues affecting applications and systems.
• Document issues with clear notes and update tickets in ServicePlus.
• Support backups, recovery plans, and data center operations.
