Job summary
General Dynamics IT is seeking a Systems Administrator (Desktop Support) to provide frontline IT support and maintain desktop environments for a federal client. The role involves coordinating OS upgrades, troubleshooting hardware and software, and ensuring secure, reliable workstation operations.
The position requires a Top Secret/SCI eligible background with strong communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
Qualifications
- BA/BS (or equivalent experience) required.
- 3+ years of related experience required.
- Security+ or CASP certification preferred.
- ITIL v4 Foundations certification preferred.
- US Citizenship required.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent technical support to end-users and maintain desktop systems.
- Ensure reliable operation of computer systems and coordinate upgrades.
- Work with on-site and remote users to resolve issues and provide hands-on support for desktop environments.
- Install and configure operating systems and software packages with advanced tooling.
- Maintain documentation of work and procedures for knowledge transfer.
