Piper Companies is seeking a Field Support Specialist to provide hands-on support for Oracle and legacy Sun Microsystems hardware in a secure government contracting environment. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, coordinate break/fix activities, and deliver exceptional customer service across mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Expertise troubleshooting Oracle and Sun hardware, firmware, and software issues in enterprise environments.
• Experience performing firmware upgrades and software patching on Oracle and Sun systems.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience supporting Oracle and Sun hardware platforms.

Responsabilités

• Provide on-site hardware and software support in Oracle environment, including Solaris and Linux.
• Deliver on-site service desk coverage and act as primary contact for hardware and software requests.
• Coordinate break/fix activities and manage on-site ticket queues for incidents and service requests.
• Travel to customer locations to perform hardware break/fix and system remediation tasks.
• Maintain clear communication with customers throughout incident resolution and service delivery processes.
• Meet SLA targets and escalate issues to leadership and engineering when needed.
