Piper Companies seeks a Field Support Specialist to support Oracle hardware on Solaris and Linux in a government-focused, highly secure environment. The role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD and requires TS/SCI with FSPG.

The candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage on-site tickets, and travel to customer locations for repairs while maintaining proactive communication and meeting SLAs in a long-term contract.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting Oracle and Sun Microsystems hardware, firmware, and software issues.
• Strong expertise supporting Oracle hardware platforms and Solaris/Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Oracle ZFS Storage Appliances, Exadata systems, and Oracle Database Appliances.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site service desk coverage and technical support for end users.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues reported by email, phone, or chat.
• Manage on-site ticket queues for break/fix and support requests.
