Job summary

Captivation is seeking a mid-level software engineer to enhance a Spring Boot application that processes terabytes of enterprise data weekly, with containerization and Kubernetes deployment. You will contribute to RESTful APIs, relational databases, and modern software practices while shaping the architecture of a mission-critical system in a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of SWE experience, a BS in a relevant field, and strong Java/Angular expertise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of SWE experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Experience with Java enterprise apps using Spring Boot; front-end with Angular; RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user and system requirements and drive technical design.
• Develop, test, debug, and maintain Java and Angular applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and data access components.
• Develop and optimize MariaDB and other relational database interactions.
• Develop software that efficiently processes and manages large volumes of enterprise data.
• Support modernization initiatives including containerization, Kubernetes deployment, and architecture evolution.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and CI/CD improvements.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.
• Create and maintain technical documentation using Confluence and Jira.
