Job summary

Captivation Software, based in Annapolis Junction, MD, is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer 2 with strong backend Java experience to build scalable REST APIs and services in Linux/Unix environments.

Ideal candidates will have deep Java/JVM skills, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, Git, and Agile collaboration experience, plus DevOps exposure with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible. This is an on-site role requiring U.S. citizenship and Top Secret/SCI clearance prep.

Qualifications

• Requires 14+ years of SWE experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field from an accredited college/university is required.
• 4 years of SWE experience on similar projects may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
