Job summary

Wyetech is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Java and Angular applications, with strong focus on RESTful APIs and database integration. You will work on modernization efforts, microservices, and containerized deployments in Kubernetes, across cloud and on-prem environments.

The role requires TS/SCI with poly and 7+ years in software engineering on similar programs, with experience in Spring Boot and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user and system requirements to design, develop, test, and maintain Java and Angular applications.
• Design, develop, and support RESTful APIs, service integrations, and data access components for Oracle, PostgreSQL, and other relational databases.
• Support application modernization initiatives, including Spring Boot migration, database modernization, microservices, and containerization.
• Deploy and support containerized applications in Kubernetes environments across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, technical design, and continuous process improvement.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests, support CI/CD pipelines, and maintain technical documentation using Confluence and Jira.
• Provide backup database administration support for Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB while cross-training across application, database, and deployment technologies to ensure operational continuity.
