Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to build scalable Spring Boot applications, deploy to Kubernetes, and modernize mission-critical Intelligence systems. You will join an Agile team delivering high-performance Java platforms handling large data volumes, with a containerized architecture and CI/CD automation.

You'll develop Spring Boot services, RESTful APIs, and work across the full software development lifecycle while collaborating with Jira/Confluence teams and ensuring robust

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of software engineering experience on programs with similar scope and complexity.
• Experience developing Java enterprise applications using Spring Boot.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Experience with container technologies (Docker) and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot and modern software engineering practices.
• Develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services for mission-critical systems.
• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Support modernization through containerization, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
• Participate in technical design sessions, architecture discussions, code reviews, and Agile activities.
• Develop and maintain automated testing solutions and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Jira and Confluence across the full SDLC.
