Captivation Software is seeking a Software Engineer 1/2 to enhance a Spring Boot application that processes terabytes of enterprise data weekly, with MariaDB backend and containerized deployment on Kubernetes.

The role focuses on building scalable Java applications, RESTful APIs, and modern software practices while contributing to the platform's modernization and mission-critical reliability.

Qualifications

• Seven years of SWE experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and drive technical design, implementation, and modernization.
• Develop, test, debug, and maintain Java and Angular applications with modern practices.
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Develop and optimize MariaDB and other relational DB interactions.
• Support containerization and Kubernetes deployment and modernization efforts.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and participate in CI/CD activities.
• Provide backup support for Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB databases.
