Job summary

TravelCenters of America in Albuquerque is seeking a Truck Service Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading the marketing and operations of the Truck Service department. You will guide technicians through troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers in a professional and accommodating manner.

TA operates over 280 locations nationwide; you will contribute to strong customer service, efficient operations, and safety standards while fostering

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher degree preferred.
• Experience supervising teams in truck service, travel centers, or related business activity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with multiple managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Truck Service team to meet performance standards and customer service goals.
• Coach and manage staff according to company policy, providing feedback.
• Recruit, hire, train and retain quality team members and recognize achievements.
• Assist technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform visual inspections to ensure products and services are available.
• Help manage revenue, profit, and operating processes to meet financial targets.
• Adhere to safety standards and company operating guidelines.
