Job summary

Dobbs Truck Group is seeking an organized administrator to support the Service Department and process repair service requests. You will write clear problem statements, obtain customer signatures, and coordinate with foremen to set promised times.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or GED) and at least one year of related experience, with strong Excel/Word/Outlook skills and a customer‑focused approach.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school graduate or GED; 1 year of work experience preferred.
• Desire to learn medium and heavy‑duty truck repair trades.
• Ability to calculate figures, write detailed work orders, and speak effectively in groups.
• Strong organization, customer service, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and process repair service requests.
• Provide administrative support to the Service Department.
• Write up customer vehicle problems clearly in the system and obtain signatures.
• Establish promised times based on shop workflow and communicate with foreman.
• Assist with payment methods and credit approvals when needed.
• Create and file repair orders with accurate documentation.
• Monitor progress and communicate changes to customers with cost/time explanations.
