Dobbs Truck Group in Washington state seeks an organized, customer-focused support specialist to initiate and process repair service requests and assist the Service Department. You will gather details, write clear repair orders, verify information, and communicate with customers about estimates, timelines, and approvals while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED; 1 year of work experience acceptable.
• Commitment to learning medium- and heavy-duty truck repair.
• Ability to calculate figures and write detailed work orders.
• Strong organization, customer service, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Dependable team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Collect details on customer complaints and expectations.
• Perform vehicle walkaround inspections and verify vehicle information.
• Perform on-the-spot vehicle diagnostics, review service history, and recommend additional service.
• Advise customers on vehicle care and maintenance per manufacturer specs.
• Write up customer issues clearly in Decisiv, verify information, obtain signatures.
• Establish promised time based on shop workflow and communicate with foreman.
• Establish payment method and obtain credit approval if needed.
• Create repair order files and secure Decisiv with signatures.
• Track progress and inform customers of changes, obtaining proper authorization for additional repairs.
