Job summary

Bruceton Petroleum Co., Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver to safely deliver fuel oil, gasoline, and LP to customers in coordination with the Director of Operations.

You will be responsible for loading, routing, and maintaining logs and records in compliance with DOT regulations. Primary duties include pre/post-trip inspections, recording quantities, and completing shipping paperwork while keeping equipment in good working order.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Commercial driver’s license with HazMat and tanker endorsements.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to climb up to 15 ft.
• Perform duties in a safe, compliant manner.

Responsibilities

• Drive tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or LPG to customers; load at loading rack.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections for road worthiness.
• Open valves or start pumps to fill tanks and record quantities.
• Read gauges/meters and log amounts loaded/delivered; issue tickets.
• Maintain bulk plant and perform light vehicle maintenance as needed.
• Complete required shipping papers and duty-hour records.
• Adhere to Department of Transportation regulations for CMVs and hazmat responses.
• Perform similar or related duties as assigned.

Job Title: Truck Driver

Reporting Relationship: Reports to – Director of Operations

Basic Function: A driver is primarily responsible for delivering fuel oil, gasoline, LP etc. in a safe and efficient manner to various locations as assigned by his/her manager.

Essential Functions

• Drives tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers: Drives truck into position to load at filling rack.
• Perform pre and post trip visual inspections of vehicle to determine road worthiness;
• Opens valves or starts pumps to fill tank.
• Reads gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.
• Records amount delivered and issues ticket to customer.
• Perform daily maintenance of bulk plant; light maintenance on trucks (washing, etc.)
• Complete required paperwork such as shipping papers, hours of duty reports, etc.
• Have working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations regarding operating a commercial motor vehicle, transporting hazardous material and how to respond to an emergency;
