Job summary

Bruceton Petroleum Co., Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver to safely deliver fuel oil, gasoline, LP, and related products to customers in the Oakland area. The role emphasizes compliance with DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and accurate paperwork.

You will operate tank trucks, perform pre/post trip checks, record deliveries, maintain equipment, and report to the Director of Operations. A valid CDL with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements is required, along with the ability to lift up

Qualifications

• 21 years of age.
• Commercial driver's license with hazardous material and tanker endorsement.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to climb up to 15 ft.

Responsibilities

• Drives tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or LPG to customers.
• Performs pre and post trip vehicle inspections.
• Opens valves or starts pumps to fill tanks.
• Reads gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.
• Records delivered amounts and issues customer tickets.
• Performs daily bulk plant maintenance and light truck maintenance.
• Completes required shipping papers and duty reports.
• Complies with DOT regulations for commercial motor vehicles and hazardous materials.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to – Director of Operations

Basic Function:

A driver is primarily responsible for delivering fuel oil, gasoline, LP etc. in a safe and efficient manner to various locations as assigned by his/her manager.

Essential Functions:

• Drives tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers: Drives truck into position to load at filling rack.
• Perform pre and post trip visual inspections of vehicle to determine road worthiness;
• Opens valves or starts pumps to fill tank.
• Reads gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.
• Records amount delivered and issues ticket to customer.
• Perform daily maintenance of bulk plant; light maintenance on trucks (washing, etc.)
• Complete required paperwork such as shipping papers, hours of duty reports, etc.
• Have working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations regarding operating a commercial motor vehicle, transporting hazardous material and how to respond to an emergency;
