Job summary

Bruceton Petroleum Co., Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver to safely deliver fuel oil, gasoline, and LPG from Pennsboro, WV. You will operate a tank truck, perform inspections, and ensure accurate documentation and records of deliveries.

Ideal candidates hold a CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, are at least 21, and can lift up to 75 lbs and climb up to 15 ft. This role requires adherence to DOT rules and safety procedures on every shift.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Commercial driver's license with hazmat and tanker endorsement.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to climb up to 15 ft.
• Perform duties in compliance with regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or LPG safely to customers.
• Drive tank truck to loading areas and load at the rack.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Open valves or start pumps to fill tanks and record quantities.
• Issue tickets and record deliveries to customers.
• Maintain bulk plant and perform light vehicle maintenance.
• Complete shipping papers and duty-hour reports.
• Follow DOT regulations for operating a CMV and handling hazardous materials.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to – Director of Operations

Basic Function:

A driver is primarily responsible for delivering fuel oil, gasoline, LP etc. in a safe and efficient manner to various locations as assigned by his/her manager.

Essential Functions:

• Drives tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers: Drives truck into position to load at filling rack.
• Perform pre and post trip visual inspections of vehicle to determine road worthiness;
• Opens valves or starts pumps to fill tank.
• Reads gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.
• Records amount delivered and issues ticket to customer.
• Perform daily maintenance of bulk plant; light maintenance on trucks (washing, etc.)
• Complete required paperwork such as shipping papers, hours of duty reports, etc.
• Have working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations regarding operating a commercial motor vehicle, transporting hazardous material and how to respond to an emergency;
