Job summary

Bruceton Petroleum Co., Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, LP gas, and other products from the Bruceton Mills location. You will load, drive, and unload safely, maintain records, and perform basic truck and facility maintenance.

The role requires a CDL with hazmat/tanker endorsements, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and the capacity to climb up to 15 ft. Reports to the Director of Operations and offers benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Commercial driver's license with hazmat and tanker endorsement required.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to climb up to 15 ft.

Responsibilities

• Deliver gasoline, fuel oil, LP gas, and related products to customers safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections for roadworthiness.
• Operate pumps, read gauges, and record quantities delivered.
• Prepare shipping papers and delivery tickets; complete required paperwork.
• Maintain bulk plant and perform basic truck maintenance (washing, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation regulations for CMV operations and hazardous materials handling.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to – Director of Operations

Basic Function

A driver is primarily responsible for delivering fuel oil, gasoline, LP etc. in a safe and efficient manner to various locations as assigned by his/her manager.

Essential Functions

• Drives tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers: Drives truck into position to load at filling rack.
• Perform pre and post trip visual inspections of vehicle to determine road worthiness;
• Opens valves or starts pumps to fill tank.
• Reads gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.
• Records amount delivered and issues ticket to customer.
• Perform daily maintenance of bulk plant; light maintenance on trucks (washing, etc.)
• Complete required paperwork such as shipping papers, hours of duty reports, etc.
• Have working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations regarding operating a commercial motor vehicle, transporting hazardous material and how to respond to an emergency;
