Job summary

Bruceton Petroleum is seeking a responsible Truck Driver to safely deliver fuel oil, gasoline, and LP to customers using a tanker truck. The role requires conducting loadings, performing precise quantity readings, and completing tickets.

You must be at least 21, hold a CDL with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements, and be able to lift up to 75 pounds and climb up to 15 feet. DOT compliance and basic truck maintenance are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 75 lb and climb up to 15 ft.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fuel oil, gasoline, LP, and other products to customers by tanker truck.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Operate loading equipment and record quantities delivered on tickets.
• Complete shipping papers and required duty logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Maintain truck and perform light maintenance as needed.

Job Title: Truck DriverReporting Relationship: Reports to – Director of OperationsBasic Function:A driver is primarily responsible for delivering fuel oil, gasoline, LP etc. in a safe and efficient manner to various locations as assigned by his/her manager.Essential Functions:Drives tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers: Drives truck into position to load at filling rack.Perform pre and post trip visual inspections of vehicle to determine road worthiness;Opens valves or starts pumps to fill tank.Reads gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.Records amount delivered and issues ticket to customer.Perform daily maintenance of bulk plant; light maintenance on trucks (washing, etc.)Complete required paperwork such as shipping papers, hours of duty reports, etc.Have working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations regarding operating a commercial motor vehicle, transporting hazardous material and how to respond to an emergency;Qualifications:a. 21 years of age; andb.
