Job summary

Bruceton Petroleum Co., Inc. in Mount Pleasant, PA seeks a Truck Driver to deliver fuel oil, gasoline, LP gas, and related products. The driver will load at racks, perform safety inspections, and operate pumps with care to protect people and property.

Qualifications

• Licensed Commercial Driver's License with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and climb up to 15 ft.

Responsibilities

• Deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers and load at loading rack.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to determine road worthiness.
• Open valves or start pumps to fill tanks and read gauges or meters.
• Record amounts delivered and issue tickets to customers.
• Perform daily maintenance of bulk plant and light truck maintenance (washing, etc.).
• Complete required paperwork such as shipping papers and hours of duty reports.
• Adhere to Department of Transportation regulations for operating a commercial motor vehicle, transporting hazardous material and responding to emergencies.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to – Director of Operations

Basic Function:

A driver is primarily responsible for delivering fuel oil, gasoline, LP etc. in a safe and efficient manner to various locations as assigned by his/her manager.

Essential Functions:

• Drives tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers: Drives truck into position to load at filling rack.
• Perform pre and post trip visual inspections of vehicle to determine road worthiness;
• Opens valves or starts pumps to fill tank.
• Reads gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.
• Records amount delivered and issues ticket to customer.
• Perform daily maintenance of bulk plant; light maintenance on trucks (washing, etc.)
• Complete required paperwork such as shipping papers, hours of duty reports, etc.
• Have working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations regarding operating a commercial motor vehicle, transporting hazardous material and how to respond to an emergency;

Qualifications:

• a. 21 years of age; and
• b. Commercial driver's license with hazardous material and tanker endorsement.
• c. Must be able to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
• d. Must be able to climb up to 15 ft.
