Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring skilled HVAC Technicians to support the North America residential and ducted markets. You will service chillers, AHUs, and roof-top units, with STA certification training and safety as a priority.

Experience in residential/ducted systems, chiller/AHU work, and EPA refrigerant licensing is required. Expect travel 10–20% and opportunities for career development within a union-aligned framework.

Qualifications

• Membership in the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Minimum of three years' practical experience on residential/ducted products, air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHUs or roof-top units with strong HVAC troubleshooting.
• Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver's license.
• Travel 10–20% to support branch startup, commissioning and aftermarket service.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level service to resolve facility inefficiencies during commissioning and aftersales.
• Propose and articulate quotes to support recommendations and ensure the facility runs efficiently.
• Collaborate with local market mechanics and maintain safety as a priority.
