Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to support the fast-growing North America HVAC business. You will be exposed to air cooled and water cooled chillers, AHUs, and large roof-top systems in diverse environments, including petro-chemical, pharmaceutical, and data centers.

We provide STA factory certification, safety-focused culture, company vehicle, tools, and uniforms. Travel 10–20% is expected, with opportunities for professional growth and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of twelve (12) years of practical experience on air cooled and/or water cooled chillers, industrial chillers, AHU’s or large roof top ducted units with strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, absorption chillers, screw chillers and/or ammonia/hydrocarbon system components.
• EPA refrigerants license required, plus applicable state/local licensing and valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% to support branch startup, commissioning and aftermarket service.

Responsibilities

• Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.
• As a trusted advisor, provide solutions and outcomes at commissioning and aftermarket service; include quotes.
• Support startup, commissioning and aftermarket service activities for branch customers; mentor local technicians.
