Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to support our North America HVAC business.

You will work on commercial and ducted systems, air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, AHUs, and rooftop ducted units, with training through STA and opportunities for advancement. We require a UA union membership or willingness to join, 3+ years of hands-on experience, and the ability to travel up to 20% for startup and aftermarket service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years practical experience on commercial/ducted products, chillers, AHUs or roof top units with strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers system components.
• Travel 10%–20% for startup/commissioning and service activities.
• Must be a member or willing to join the UA to labor unions education/ apprenticeship infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site service to install, commission, troubleshoot and maintain HVAC systems.
• Provide quotes to customers supporting recommendations and solutions.
• Upsell opportunities while ensuring facilities run efficiently.
• Write customer problem statements, causes and corrective actions clearly.
