Job summary

Baker Tilly, a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm, is seeking a Manager to serve Tribal government clients by delivering ongoing accounting services and grants management. You will prepare financial reports, collaborate with clients to improve processes, and support audits.

Travel up to 10-15% and work as part of our Business Consulting Services team. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting and at least five years of relevant experience in government or not-for-profit accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in government or not-for-profit sectors.
• Experience with grants management and government accounting standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and client service.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Performs operational, accounting, and consulting services for Tribal governments, including monthly close and grants management.
• Prepares polished deliverables and reports for clients.
• Assists with audits and helps grow the practice.
• Reviews work for quality and works collaboratively across teams.
• Travels to client locations and attends trainings or conferences.
