Job summary

Baker Tilly’s growing Consulting practice seeks a Manager to provide outstanding accounting services and grant management for Tribal government clients. You will deliver monthly closings, grants reporting, and financial reporting to key decision makers.

You will develop policies, collaborate across client teams, and support the growth of the practice while coordinating audit activities. Travel 10–15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in government/non-profit
• Experience in grants management and financial reporting preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with client service focus
• Ability to travel roughly 10–15% as needed
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and government accounting software

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing, grants management, grant reporting, and financial reporting for Tribal governments
• Prepare polished deliverables and ensure timely client deliverables
• Develop policies and procedures on key accounting matters
• Collaborate with clients to understand current practices and improve processes
• Coordinate with clients during the audit process and assist audits
• Support growth of the practice and review team work for accuracy
• Travel to client locations, trainings, or conferences as needed
