Job summary

Vail Health Hospital in the United States seeks a Triage Registered Nurse to support care coordination and triage across patient contacts. You will evaluate symptoms using established protocols to determine whether patients require emergency, urgent care, or clinic follow-up, and assist providers with triage for calls and portal messages.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation in the EHR, adherence to HIPAA and safety protocols, scheduling, and participating in performance improvement

Qualifications

• 3 years clinical experience with applicable patient care and administrative duties preferred.
• Knowledge of disease processes, development across age groups, and nursing assessment skills.
• HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patient care needs using triage protocols.
• Triage calls and portal messages; coordinate same-day and future appointments.
• Document symptoms, assessments, and plans in the EHR; follow policies and protocols.
• Participate in KPI reviews and quality improvement efforts.
