Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Triage Registered Nurse to perform care coordination and triage across emergency, urgent care, and clinic pathways. You will support providers by triaging patient calls and portal messages, documenting assessments, plans, and follow-ups in the electronic health record.

The role emphasizes adherence to HIPAA and OSHA standards and requires strong nursing assessment skills. Three years of relevant clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years clinical experience with patient care and administrative duties preferred.
• Nursing assessment skills with/without visual inspection using basic nursing theory.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, equipment, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Triage to assess health concerns using protocols and algorithms.
• Support providers in triaging calls and portal messages.
• Document triage assessments, plans, implementation and follow-up in EHR.
• Participate in weekly huddles to review KPIs and determine best actions.
• Coordinate care to ensure timely access to emergency, urgent care or clinic visits.
