Carr’s Tree Service in Fridley, MN is hiring an experienced Crew Leader to direct daily tree care operations and build high-performing crews. You will lead by example, promote safety, and ensure work is completed efficiently and professionally for our utility, residential, and government clients.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to supervise a small crew, and hands-on arboricultural task execution while adhering to OSHA/ANSI standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience on tree trimming or clearing crews.
• Proven leadership ability and strong communication skills.
• Solid understanding of OSHA and ANSI safety standards.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Valid driver’s license, DOT medical card, and First Aid/CPR certification.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job and work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety meetings and ensure job briefings and required documentation are completed.
• Oversee tree trimming, pruning, and removal operations.
• Safely operate and maintain equipment.
• Communicate professionally with landowners, customers, utility reps.
• Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Track crew performance and productivity metrics.
