Carr’s Tree Service, a premier upper Midwest tree service provider, seeks an experienced Crew Leader to direct daily tree care operations for utility, residential, and government clients. You’ll lead by example, ensure safety, and drive efficiency while coordinating crews and equipment to deliver high-quality work.

The role emphasizes safety compliance, flawless communication with landowners and customers, and upholding the company’s values of honesty, integrity, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years experience on tree trimming or clearing crews.
• Proven leadership ability and strong communication skills.
• Solid understanding of OSHA and ANSI safety standards.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Valid driver’s license, DOT medical card, and First Aid/CPR certification.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job and work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety meetings and ensure job briefings and documentation are completed.
• Plan, oversee, and participate in tree trimming, pruning, and removal operations.
• Oversee daily crew operations including brush chipping, mowing, chainsaw work, and site cleanup.
• Communicate professionally with landowners, customers, and utility representatives.
• Safely operate and maintain equipment; report issues to minimize downtime.
• Complete paperwork and maintain records of work and training.
