Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a experienced Tree Climber in Arkansas to perform climbing, pruning and removal of trees in coordination with Foreperson. Previous professional climbing experience is required for this role.

The position emphasizes safety, equipment maintenance, storm restoration duties, and the ability to work at heights under varying weather conditions. Background checks and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate knowledge of knots, ropes and rigging used in tree trimming/removal.
• Ability to climb and descend trees using rope and safety saddle.
• Ability to perform emergency rescue techniques, including tree rescue and first aid.
• Familiarity with electrical hazards and procedures near conductors and aerial rescue.
• Physically capable of working at heights and in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees per Foreperson’s directions.
• Load/unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Inspect and ensure proper condition of tools and equipment.
• Enforce safe practices, keep work area clean, communicate with coworkers.
• Perform storm restoration duties as needed.
