Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services are seeking a Climber to prune, remove, and manage trees in accordance with Foreperson directions. The role includes loading gear, operating hand and gas-powered saws, and performing tool inspections.

Candidates should have climbing experience, knot-tying proficiency, and emergency-rescue knowledge, with CPR/First Aid as a plus; travel for storm work may be required.

Qualifications

• Prior climbing experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging devices.
• Emergency rescue techniques knowledge required; CPR/First Aid knowledge advantageous.
• Experience with electrical hazards and proximity to conductors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees according to Foreperson's directives.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; operate chipper intake.
• Work from the ground using hand saws, pole saws, pruners, loppers, and gas-powered saws.
• Inspect and ensure proper working condition of all tools and equipment.
