Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Henderson, KY is seeking a Climber to perform tree climbing, pruning, and removal under foreperson guidance. This full-time role requires strict safety practices, ability to work at heights, and readiness for storm duties, with health insurance and a 401(k) plan as benefits.

Applicants must pass background checks and be able to travel for out-of-town storm restoration if needed; CPR/first aid certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging for tree trimming and removal.
• Able to climb and descend trees using rope and safety saddle.
• Capable of emergency rescue techniques and basic first aid.
• Aware of electrical hazards and safe proximity procedures aloft.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees according to Foreperson’s directives
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; operate brush chipper as needed
• Work from ground using hand saws, pole saws, pruners, hand pruners, loppers, and gas-powered chain saws
• Inspect and ensure proper working condition of all tools and equipment
• Safeguard employees and public from hazards by enforcing safety practices and keeping area clean
• Perform duties for storm work as needed
