Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in the United States is seeking a Climber to perform tree trimming and removal duties with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role requires climbing, pruning, and removal of trees, along with loading/unloading trucks and operating related equipment.

Preferred candidates have 1–2 years of climbing experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and knowledge of knots, ropes, and rigging.

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate knots, ropes, and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal operations.
• Climb and descend trees using rope and safety saddle.
• Administer and implement emergency rescue techniques, including tree rescue and first aid.
• Be familiar with electrical hazards and procedures near electrical conductors and aerial rescue.
• Work at heights under varying weather conditions and adapt to equipment.
• Maintain PPE and pass background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees according to Foreperson’s directives.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; operate brush chipper.
• Inspect and ensure proper working condition of all tools and equipment.
• Enforce safe practices and keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Perform storm restoration duties as needed.
