Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services are seeking a dedicated climber to prune, remove trees, and ensure safety on active utility sites. The role requires climbing, rigging, and storm-related work with a strong emphasis on personal protective equipment and emergency readiness.

Candidates should have at least one year of climbing experience, a driver’s license, and willingness to travel for storm restoration as needed.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate knots, ropes, and rigging knowledge.
• Must be able to climb/descend trees using rope and safety saddle.
• Must administer emergency rescue and first aid techniques.
• Must be familiar with electrical hazards and procedures near conductors.
• Must wear and maintain PPE and travel for storm work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees per Foreperson’s directions.
• Load/unload logs, brush, and debris; feed into chipper.
• Inspect tools and equipment and ensure safe working condition.
• Work from ground with hand tools and gas-powered saws.
• Coordinate safety with crew and respond to emergency aloft situations.
