Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Sylva, NC is seeking a qualified Tree Climber to prune and remove trees, following foreperson directions. This full-time role offers medical, vision, dental insurance, and a 401K retirement plan. Prior climbing experience and a valid driver's license are preferred.

The position requires safe operation of tools, knowledge of knots and rigging, and readiness for storm-related assignments. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights are essential.

Qualifications

• At least one year of professional climbing experience in line clearance is required.
• Must be able to demonstrate knots, ropes, and rigging knowledge.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees per Foreperson’s directives.
• Load/unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris.
• Ensure safe practices and use PPE at all times.
• Travel for storm restoration work as needed.
