Job summary

Veolia is seeking a traveling Wastewater Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences at multiple client facilities in the region. The role includes training local technicians, adjusting processes for compliance, and performing routine, reactive, and preventive maintenance.

Significant travel is required, potentially 1–2 weeks at a time, up to a month during extended projects. You will collect samples, perform lab testing, maintain records, and support start-ups with the SWOT team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, required.
• Willingness to learn and be able take instructions on Wastewater treatment processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of Veolia facilities in designated region during vacations and absences, covering day and night shifts.
• Assist in operational development of local technicians through hands-on training and development of training materials.
• Ensure industry standards and best practices are used across facilities, including record keeping, lab testing, and maintenance practices.
• Support new account start-up projects with SWOT team, developing operational tasks and training new technicians.
• Provide troubleshooting support to local technicians and ensure proactive decision-making.
• Operate and control pumps, motors, and valves to regulate wastewater flow at treatment plants.
• Collect and test wastewater samples and maintain accurate client data records.
