Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Technician to manage warranty requests, perform repairs, and coordinate subcontractors across designated communities.

The role focuses on resolving homeowner issues after closing and maintaining high customer satisfaction. Must have a GED or high school diploma, 3+ years of related repair experience (carpentry, drywall, texture repair, painting), and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three or more years of related experience, including carpentry, drywall, texture repair and painting.
• Must have a vehicle, valid driver's license, and willingness to drive in designated communities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and DRH Warranty tools.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Willingness to travel overnight and work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate homeowner repair issues to determine warrantable items.
• Process written/electronic work orders and supervisor instructions for repairs.
• Perform repairs such as carpentry, drywall, texture repair and painting.
• Schedule and manage subcontractors for warranty repairs.
• Ensure repairs are completed within compliance standards.
• Certify warranty work is completed as required.
• Develop and maintain rapport with subcontractors and homeowners.
• Follow up with homeowners to ensure concerns are addressed promptly.
• Process charge-back documentation and invoices.
• Operate in a professional manner to support customer satisfaction and company goodwill.
