Job summary

RMS Energy is seeking a Transformer Technician II to join our field team. In this hands-on role, you will assist with transformer assembly, oil processing, and on-site service at power plants, substations, and industrial facilities.

You will travel and work safely in challenging environments while supporting a fast-growing company. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of relevant experience, basic computer skills, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in transformer oil processing, service, or assembly.
• Basic computer skills incl. MS Office.
• Clear, professional communication and ability to follow instructions.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assemble transformer components (radiators, bushings, conservators).
• Perform degassing, pressure, and vacuum testing with dehydrator units.
• Re-gasket units and fabricate gaskets or O-rings as needed.
• Assist teardown/prep of transformers for transport or disposal.
• Identify and resolve basic wiring and mechanical issues.
