RMS Energy Co, LLC is seeking a Transformer Technician II to join a hands-on team handling transformer assembly, oil processing, and on-site service for critical energy infrastructure. You’ll install, maintain, and repair transformers from multiple OEMs at power plants, substations, and industrial sites.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and growth within a fast-paced company. Expect field work, travel, and opportunities to contribute to project opportunities and customer leads.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience in transformer oil processing, service, or assembly.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online platforms
• Clear and professional communication skills with the ability to follow instructions
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting team objectives

Responsibilities

• Assemble transformer components such as radiators, bushings, and conservators
• Perform degassing, pressure, and vacuum testing using dehydrator units
• Re-gasket units and fabricate gaskets or O-rings when needed
• Assist with teardown and preparation of transformers for transport or disposal
• Identify and resolve basic wiring and mechanical issues
• Complete assigned tasks and daily work orders accurately and on schedule
• Inspect and operate tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment safely
• Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements when working near noise, electrical hazards, and at elevated heights
• Support the sales team by reporting project opportunities and potential customer leads
