Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company is seeking a Traveling Superintendent for the Advanced Facilities Group. The role involves managing self-perform work, coordinating with subcontractors, and traveling to multiple project sites nationwide to ensure safety, schedule and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of construction experience and 3+ years of field supervision, with strong knowledge of Lean principles, MS Office and scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred in CM/engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years construction and 3+ years field supervision experience.
• Lean principles experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and ensure injury-free environment.
• Manage subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversee staff, subcontractors, and programs such as Safety, Quality and EEO.
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate and manage project site care and control.
• Lead daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
• Attend progress and project OAC meetings.
• Create and adjust project schedule in collaboration with PM.
• Monitor budgets and costs via PM system reports.
• Communicate project information to owners, design team, and suppliers.
• Maintain project filing, logs, diaries, and inspection notebooks.
