Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a traveling Superintendent 2 to plan, manage and execute on complex projects nationwide, traveling up to 100% to project assignments across the country. The role focuses on safety culture, coordination of materials and crews, and achieving timely, profitable project completion in alignment with JE Dunn’s strategy and values.

Requirements include 5+ years of construction experience, 3+ years of field supervision, and a Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 5+ years construction experience.
• 3+ years field supervision experience.
• Experience with Lean principles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of the safety culture and ensures an injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors and organizes overall job workflow.
• Manages staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs (Safety, Quality and EEO).
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates and manages the project site.
• Leads meetings including daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
• Creates, manages and updates the project schedule with the Project Manager.
• Monitors budget and costs using project cost reports.
• Ensures quality compliance through specifications, QA/QC and external resources.
• Supports project closeouts with owner, architect and authorities.
