Job summary

JRM Construction Management, LLC is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on high-end interior construction projects. You will supervise the field labor force, subcontractors, and the project team to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality across multiple sites.

The role requires extensive travel and strong client service skills. Ideal candidates have a proven record managing complex occupied-space projects, read construction plans, and hold OSHA and Scaffold

Qualifications

• Five+ years as a superintendent in interior, high-end commercial general contracting.
• Proven record of managing complex projects in occupied spaces.
• Capable of coordinating multiple quick-turnaround projects simultaneously.
• Ability to read commercial construction plans and specifications.
• 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety certificate.
• 4-Hour Scaffold User certificate.
• Willingness to travel 8–12 weeks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations including safety, quality, and logs.
• Lead site staff and subcontractors with strong leadership.
• Manage the project schedule; produce 2-week look ahead.
• Coordinate all subcontractors to meet schedule and budget.
• Understand project strategy, milestones, and inspections.
• Ensure work complies with design, specs, budget, and quality.
• Maintain open dialogue with project team on changes and conditions.
• Update project schedule to reflect status changes and meet time/cost targets.
• Run weekly project and subcontractor meetings.
• Manage RFI process from creation to resolution.
• Exceed client expectations by understanding needs and culture.
• Promote positive subcontractor relations; fair dealings.
• Maintain punch lists and ensure timely completion.
• Manage close-out and warranty responses with PM.
