Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Substation Technician- A to support construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment. This non-exempt role requires travel to locations including Florida and other states per customer demand, with 6–8 years of related experience in 525 kV and below systems.

The position involves working in confined spaces and at heights up to 125 feet, leading crew members when needed, and performing tests, terminations, and equipment installations across multiple

Qualifications

Requires 6–8 years of continuous working knowledge of 525 kV and below substation equipment and systems.
Must possess a Commercial Drivers' License and supply own hand tools and safety boots.
Ability to climb and work at heights up to 125 feet; capable of rigorous physical labor.

Responsibilities

Perform construction, maintenance or repair, testing, adjusting and troubleshooting of substation equipment/systems.
Work with high voltage systems safely, including buswork, switches, terminations and controls.
Lead/coach crew members and communicate technical details to customers and subordinates.
Interpret substation drawings and develop material lists; verify phasing and connections.
