Job summary

Elara Caring in Livingston, Texas is seeking a Special Care Aide (SCA) on a PRN basis. You will provide essential home care services, including personal care, meals, mobility support, and travel between client visits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required where state regulations apply.
• Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Homemaker, CNA, MA or similar certification where required.
• Experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support new client admissions and Start of Care visits.
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with daily living activities.
• Perform housekeeping and household support.
• Assist with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation and visit records.
• Provide coverage for open shifts, call-offs and urgent staffing needs.
• Travel throughout the assigned service area to support clients.
