Job summary

Elara Caring seeks a Special Care Aide (SCA) in Austin, TX for PRN, flexible scheduling. You will be the first point of contact for new clients, helping ensure a positive start to care as you support daily living activities and travel between client visits.

This role offers meaningful, home-based care with opportunities to expand skills, work across multiple clients, and grow toward leadership paths within Personal Care Services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; state requirements apply.
• Minimum six months of caregiving experience for elderly or disabled individuals.
• Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, CNA or equivalent certification as required.
• Proficiency with mobile devices and electronic documentation.
• Excellent communication and compassionate caregiving approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and support daily living activities.
• Perform housekeeping and household tasks as needed.
• Assist with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Monitor client condition and document visits accurately.
