Job summary

Elara Caring in El Paso is seeking a Special Care Aide (SCA) to join our home-based care team. You will assist with personal care, mobility, meals, and daily living activities, traveling between client visits with flexibility and a supportive branch team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, as required by state regulations.
• Minimum six (6) months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Homemaker, CNA, MA, or similar certification where required.
• Basic technology skills and comfort using mobile devices, apps, and electronic documentation systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments.
• Reliable personal transportation, current registration, and auto insurance.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform physical caregiving duties.

Responsibilities

• Supporting new client admissions and Start of Care visits.
• Providing personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Preparing meals and assisting with daily living activities.
• Performing housekeeping and household support.
• Assisting with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and visit records.
• Providing coverage for open shifts, call-offs, and urgent staffing needs.
• Traveling throughout the assigned service area to support clients.
• Promoting Elara Caring's mission and commitment to quality care.
