Job summary

Elara Caring seeks a Special Care Aide (SCA) in Pasadena, TX to join our flexible, travel-friendly team. This PRN role offers variety, the chance to support multiple clients, and opportunities to develop leadership skills within Personal Care Services.

You will provide personal care, meal preparation, and daily living support, while traveling within the service area and documenting visits. A HS diploma and six months' caregiving experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED as required by state regulations.
• Minimum six months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• HHA, PCA, CNA or similar certification where required.
• Basic technology skills and comfort with mobile devices and electronic documentation systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
• Reliable transportation with current registration and auto insurance.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Preparing meals and assisting with daily living activities.
• Performing housekeeping and household support.
• Assisting with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Travelling throughout the assigned service area to support clients.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and visit records.
• Providing coverage for open shifts, call-offs, and urgent staffing needs.
