Job summary

MasTec Renewables seeks a seasoned Commissioning Lead to manage the commissioning phase of utility-scale solar and related projects across the U.S. You will plan, direct, and supervise commissioning teams, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time handover of plants.

Responsibilities include creating commissioning schedules, coordinating testing, and maintaining thorough documentation. This role requires strong leadership and travel, with rotation between project sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• Five years' supervisory experience.
• Commissioning experience on solar, BESS or wind projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of utility-scale solar projects and ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Prepare detailed commissioning schedules covering pre- and final commissioning.
• Determine the size and responsibilities of the commissioning team for each site.
• Supervise crews and manage field documentation and testing.
• Coordinate third-party testing and review documentation for accuracy.
• Maintain organized records and ensure timely project completion.
• Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
